CIESPAL Grants:

  • Study Domains: communication.
  • Scholarships: Grants for the production of television news programmes.
  • Open to: journalists, camermen, editors of news-programmes in Latin America and the Caribbean who hold degrees in social communications and/or journalism have a good knowledge of Spanish and can work in the news service of a television channel.

ICRISAT Training Programmes
Study Domains: agriculture, agronomic sciences.
Programmes: international research and training programmes in crop improvement, production agronomy, resource management and socio-economic aspects in the semi-arid tropics.

IFUW Fellowships and Grants:

  • Study Domains: human sciences, natural sciences, social sciences.
  • Scholarships: IFUW Fellowships and Grants.
  • Description: The International Federation of University Women offers a limited number of fellowships and grants to women graduates for advanced research, study and training the competitions are normally held every two years. Exceptionally, the next competition will offer fellowships and grants for the 2003/2006 academic year.
  • Open to: members of national federations/associations affiliated to IFUW and independent members; for work in any branch of learning, in the country of the applicant’s choice; awards are for study/research/training at the doctoral or post-doctoral level; a limited number of awards will be given for work at the Master’s level.
  • Place of study: in an accredited institution or institutions, preferably in a country other than Fellow’s country of study or habitual residence.

Leadership Training Course
Study Domains: development studies, human sciences, international relations, international studies, political economy, social sciences.
Programmes: leadership training course in economic and social aspects of development.
Description: specialized leadership training in fields relevant to trade unions, co-operatives, community groups, women’s organizations, youth movements, etc.
Open to: nationals from countries located in each of the Institute’s 5 geo-political divisions: Africa; Asia and the Pacific; Eastern and Central Europe (including CIS); Latin America and the Caribbean; Middle East and North Africa; candidates having substantial leadership experience in relevant fields and other appropriate qualifications;.
Duration: 35 courses and seminars per year.
Fees: UZS$3,000 per month, all inclusive (tuition, room, board, field trips and visits, social and cultural activities, medical insurance, laundry, pocket money).
Financial assistance: scholarships available for some participants in all courses; travel expenses generally not included.
Languages: knowledge of one of the languages of instruction (English, Spanish, French, Russian, Arabic) is essential; occasional courses in Hungarian, Bulgarian, Czech, Romanian, etc.
